Privacy Policy
Last updated 2 September 2026
This policy covers the personal data BNI Champions (Singapore) collects through this website, why we collect it, and how you can ask about or correct it. It applies to this site only, not to BNI Singapore or BNI globally.
1. What we collect
We collect personal data directly from the forms on this site:
- Meeting registration: your name, email, phone number, whether you're a member or visitor, your business or profession, and who invited you (if a visitor).
- Contact form: your name, email, phone number, and the message you send us.
- Technical data: standard information collected automatically by the web server, such as IP address and browser type, kept for security and troubleshooting.
The member directory also shows a member's name, business name, industry, and photo. This is provided by members themselves as part of being listed in the chapter directory, not collected from visitors.
2. Why we collect it
We use this data to:
- Process your meeting registration and let you into the room, online or in person.
- Reply to enquiries sent through the contact form.
- Send confirmation emails for registrations.
- Share relevant details internally with our visitor host or membership committee, where needed to handle your registration or enquiry.
- Run the public member directory.
3. Who we share it with
We don't sell personal data. Registration and enquiry details are handled by chapter volunteers running the meeting you registered for. As a BNI Singapore chapter, some information may also be shared with BNI Singapore or BNI's own systems where that's part of normal chapter administration, such as membership records.
4. Cookies
This site uses only the cookies needed to make it work, such as a login session for chapter admins and CSRF protection on forms. We don't run third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
5. How long we keep it
We keep registration and enquiry data for as long as it's needed for chapter administration, then delete or anonymise it. Member directory information is kept for as long as someone remains a member.
6. Your rights
Under Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act, you can ask to see what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent to us holding it. To do any of these, get in touch through our contact page.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site or our practices change. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
8. Questions
If anything here is unclear, or you want to raise a concern about how your data is handled, contact us and we'll get back to you.
